SAS flight

I have never flown on SAS in the past and kind of excited to be their aircraft....but at the same time, I don't know what to expect from them....Since the aircraft is parked far away from the gate, we will be bused to the aircraft. Some nice shots here....from AA to CX

NYC layover Sep 7th

After a crazy sat day , I tried to relax a bit on Sunday morning and planned to meet my aunt for lunch. We met in Chinatown and had some great Chinese food. Here are a few shots of NYC. I actually forgot to bring my medicine so DR was the place to go...

After walking around for sometimes, I felt so tired and could not walk anymore. Had to stop for some drinks, my aunt suggested this place, check it out

This place has really nice chocolate drinks....and tasty Chocolate as well... Here is my aunt Judy...she wanted to say hello to everyone.... A very nice Chandelier, right on top of us....

It's now time to head back to the hotel and wait for my limo pick up....Mr. Wong was really nice, picked me up on Houston and Lexington....and I did not have to jump onto those awful NYC cab...

I am now on the way to JFK and almost there.....that was really fast and no traffic

Check in was quick and smooth. there after I went to the Virgin club house

Not a busy night....only a handful of planes there....

Round the world trip, 1st day Sep 6th, 2008

A very exciting and long day for me. With only a few hours sleep the night before, I was up at 7am to get myself ready. Somehow, I took a long time to get things done and left the house really late and by the time I knew it, it was almost 9am. I got down to the airport in 30 mins for the 10am flight. After I got to the counter, the very nice lady from Virgin America told me the flight to NY JFK will be delayed for 2 hours due to weather. Tropical storm Hana is near New York now. I am very concern with my connection in NY. I called Singapore Airlines SFO office and told them my problem and have them to send a message to JFK office. During the wait, I walked around the airport and here are some pictures:




I am now hungry and decided to have something to eat.....>>>>

I was trying to call home but no one there .... :-(

After a good 2 hours wait, we have started the boarding process and guess what, I saw one of my old staff who used to work for my company and he is now working for Virgin America and actually working on my flight. He is a nice guy...

My flight departed at 12:15pm and wheels up at 12:30pm. Here are some pictures shot of my flight.....

Inflight programming has started and wanted to watch some LIVE DIRECTV...but some of the channels was not working.....but so much better than AA or UA inflight programming...
We are now flying over Lake Tahoe, California - High Sierra AreaAfter lunch and drinks....I felt a sleep.....and we are now somewhere in the middle of the country. I like how they use the google map instead of the usual flight plan. I slept more and watch somemmore TV programming....
We will soon be arriving into the NY area and you can see Hana's cloud......and it's rater bumper now. We finally arrived into JFK at 835pm. After I got off my flight, I rushed to look for Sq gate but since they parked at pier A and I was at B, I could not go there. Noone was at the counter and I knew I am going to miss this flight. Well I did. I think SQ ought to have some rep at the counter because no staffs can be found. I finally went to Virgin Atlantic lounge for help and they called SQ for me. I had to overnight in NYC and was reboked on Sep 7th SQ 25 instead. I got into the city to check in and the rest of the evening was trying to get rebook for my Stockholm flight with Expedia...which took 1hour30 mins which was crazy.
